Navenby get well earned point against Great Ponton
Navenby JFC v Great Ponton U11’s
8th December 2013
Navenby played their second game of the weekend against a Great Ponton that they had never beaten before. Again Navenby had all 10 squad players available and started with the wind behind them. The game was very even in the first half with half chances available at both ends before a long range effort by Great Ponton held up in the wind and flew over Kieron’s head in goal. Navenby pushed for an equalizer and Ollie finally burst through the off side trap and calmly slotted the ball home for the equalizer. In the second half Great Ponton had the wind behind and pushed for a second but some excellent defending held them at bay. This was an excellent performance by the whole team which should hopefully give them a lot of confidence for the second half of the season after Christmas.
