Navenby JFC v Leasingham U10’s League Match
13th October 2013
Second clean sheet of the season for the U10’s
This week saw the U10’s back in league action. Having only played two League matches in the new campaign winning 1 and losing the other, Navenby needed to get a good result especially with last years top two teams playing each other next weekend.
After the lovely sunshine of the previous few weeks winter looks like it has finally arrived.
Navenby started the match well and looked like scoring in the first couple of minute and but for some poor shooting should have been 3 – 0 up within the first 5 minutes. This seem to unsettle the Navenby attackers and Leasingham were growing in confidence and started to push up field looking to avenge last years defeat, they came close but were hit on the counter attack by a fine pass from Toby to Freddie who buried the ball in the back of the net to make it 1-0 to the home team. The rain started to come down heavier and with it Navenby’s confidence grew and they found themselves 3-0 up at half time with the third goal coming from new boy Lucas his first of hopefully many this season.
Second half
During the second half Navenby looked completely in control and a brace of goals Kieran score his first hat trick of the season thanks to a wonderful cross by Freddie after running the length of the field down the right hand side.
Final score Navenby 6 – 0 Leasingham
