Navenby U11’s Report
Navenby took part in a 6v6 tournament at Carres. Kyle used the tournament as an opportunity for a team building exercise ensuring that all 8 players who turned up (including Tom for his first match with Navenby) had an opportunity to play in a variety of positions to learn what is needed for those positions. The tournament was split into 2 leagues where Navenby played 5 matches of 8 minutes. The first 2 were lost 1-0 (the first game by the very last kick of the game), the next game was won followed by 2 more draws. Two further games took place where one was lost and the other drawn. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it helped the 4 new players feel part of the team. The tournament will have no bearing on the League games where everyone will have specific positions which will be seen in the next friendly game on Sunday 22nd September at home to Great Ponton ahead of the first league game the following week.
